Chair Massage

As the name implies, this form of bodywork is performed while the patient sits in a massage chair. While many forms of bodywork utilize seated methods, Chair Massage is generally an office/event modality that combines a variety of techniques from different systems (such as Tuina). Generally, the back, neck, and shoulders are the focus of this method, though the arms, hands, feet, and so on can be treated as well.

Typical Chair Massage sessions range from 15 to 30 minutes. This form of bodywork is performed with the patient fully clothed while seated in massage chair, though this can be adapted to most seating arrangements.
